new for spring 2017
Posted on March 30 2017

spring has sprung! which means a lot of things… the snow is melting, cherry blossoms are blooming, days are longer, and overall we are just glad winter’s over. but we can agree that one of the best parts of spring are all the new beauty launches!
we have tried and tested this season’s newest products and we are ready to share our notes on our 2017 favourites. with so many great new products it was hard to pick just one favorite, so we’ve extended the list and each of us has picked our top 2.
Gina loves...
becca’s golden hour soft light powder.
spring is a time when i want to go a little bit lighter with my foundation, whether it be with a tinted moisturizer or just a smaller amount of product, and this powder gives the effect of a fuller coverage foundation without the heavy or "cakey" look and feel. it blends with the skin and makes you look poreless and flawless, with a soft glow. i like using it with the soft kabuki brush. this product can be found in-store only.
edward bess’ threads of silk multi-use powder.
these powders give you a beautiful beachy summer glow. i like to use the shade “ciao” primarily on my cheeks as a blush. then whatever is left on the brush, i like to swipe down the centre of my face for a sun-kissed look. the shade “bellisima” is quite a bit lighter, so i like to brush it over my blush and center of the face for an extra glow.
Jaime loves...
fluffy bunny roller ball.
i love that my favorite body lotion scent now comes in a roller ball. the light and fresh mint-julep scent is a definite must have this spring. it also makes a great gift for easter.
oribe lip balm.
if you know me, you know i love me a good lip balm, and oribe’s new balmessence lip balm is just perfection. it is very nourishing and the non-sticky formula makes it very comfortable to wear. plus, the gold packaging is to die for!
Michelle loves...
kevyn aucoin angled foundation brush.
this brush is everything i look for in a foundation brush. the bristles are dense yet flexible enough to perfectly apply and blend your foundation. the angle of it makes the application super easy, especially around those hard-to-reach areas of your face. but i think my favorite part is how soft it is – it feels like kittens on your face!
r+co’s cactus texturizing shampoo.
cactus works wonders on my thin pin-straight hair. it gives it texture and grip so my hair doesn’t fall flat after I dry it. and when i want to style it, the grip it gives my hair, makes the style last longer. it pretty much gives me an effortless lived-in hair.
Tas loves...
oribe body wash.
it has the classic oribe cote d’azur scent, which smells oh, so good. now i can smell like oribe from head to toe.
edward bess big wow full brow pomade.
i normally don’t like or use brow pomades, but with edward bess i’ll make an exception. it has an interesting mousse to powder texture that gives you natural feathery brows that are never too dark or overdone. I find it best paired with their dual ended brow brush.
we are sure you'll love these products as much as we do, so make sure you stop by the boutique and give them a try!
